Goodbye 1st semester
By: Siryet Bekele
Lost Mountain students only have two quarters (18 weeks) of school left! Within the course of the past five months, there have been 2 breaks, 2 off days, and 7 early release days. With a third break running right around the corner, students will be back in their classrooms in January before they know it. Soon after, the rest of the school year will zap by quicker than you can say “See you later, alligator!”
As they send their well wishes to 2018, several quotes have been collected on their thoughts about the halfway mark in the school year.
“Same old same old, it’s not like anything has changed...relationships between friends are the same, burnt bridges haven’t been fixed, you know?” - Sohan P. (7th grade)
“I guess the teachers are really nice and I'm starting to get used to GA.” - Callie S. (6th grade)
“It was super fun, I can't wait for next semester.” - Kaitlin D. (7th grade)
Although this is an exciting time for most, some students are trying to beat the countdown and pick up their grades before the 21st of Friday. On that note, teachers are filling in the final spaces in Synergy with the scores of their students before time runs out. All in all, the holiday break is a fun time when worries are forgotten, but there can always be that sliver of stress at the end of the year. Therefore, now is the best time to maintain organized and neat so we end the year in a highlight. Happy Holidays Lost Mountain!
