The March Talent Show was a huge success! Kendall, Jai, Ava, and Barrett were fabulous Emcees! There were many talented acts such as singing, stand-up comedy, dancing, acro-dance, a ukulele, and more singing. Gib and Cam started the night off with a fiddle and guitar singing “Fare Thee Well” and the night just kept getting better. Julian got the sold out crowd pumped with his free style dancing. He’s got some moves. Anthony cracked us up with his original comedy sketch about the theater. Next we had a soulful rendition of L.O.V.E. from Evan and then Cameron Fiori really brought it home with her version of “Believer.” After that we had our first duet of the night, “Miss Moving On” with Kayla and Anna. Then Taylor, Asia, Jazmine, and Ajo rocked the theater with their Hip Hop Mashup. The last act before the intermission was Halle Pascoe and she sang Rise Up. It was great.
After intermission Abbie, Mary Beth, and Naomi showed us their skills with their acro dance. Rayna followed up that amazing act with her singing of “A Thousand Years”. The audience was so moved, cell phones came out! For a change of pace, Ella came out and played her Ukulele while singing “House of Gold.” There was a technical malfunction plunging the entire stage into darkness and through it all, Ella remained calm and just kept playing. After that we had 6th graders Malia, Megan, Xiaoli, and Talicia dancing to a Hip Hop Mix. Those girls have style. Hannah came out next dressed in a beautiful gown and sang “Never Enough.” She looked and sounded like movie star. Avery and Ansley were next up with a dance and stunting to “My Hallelujah Song.” The girls were in sync and their skills were breathtaking. One of the highlights of the night was Kennedy playing the guitar and singing “Good Grief” as a tribute to Jordan Foster. As the votes were being tabulated, Mrs. Dickerson sang “The Greatest Love of All” and she hit some really high notes!
The whole evening was very enjoyable and students, parents, and teachers enjoyed the talent. Thank you to Mrs. Disco and Student Council for sponsoring this memorable event!
